Economic and Policy Officer
ECSDA seeks a motivated young professional to support European financial stability and integration. The role contributes to the Savings and Investments Union and the harmonisation of market practices within Central Securities Depositories.
Key responsibilities
- Organise expert meetings on cross-border harmonisation and the implementation of European reforms
- Engage members and authorities to help create a unified EU financial market
- Coordinate with EU institutions on removing barriers and harmonising post-trade practices
- Help shape the regulatory environment through engagement with policy-makers
- Research harmonisation possibilities and digital-asset developments
- Support senior officers initially, then take on working-group leadership
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in economics, law, political science, or a related field
- Native or near-native English proficiency
- First professional experience in an EU authority, association, bank, or consultancy
- EU citizenship or a Belgian work permit
- Strong communication, analytical, and diplomatic skills
- Genuine interest in European policy and financial markets
